I have a secret

I have a secret and I can't tell

It's gonna happen this coming Saturday, So not long to wait.

It's either gonna be really awesome or a complete flop.

We shall have to wait and see.

If it's a hit, I should be on the news.

Or atleast in the record books.

They know

Well we went to see my grandparents today. About an hour into our visit we dropped into the conversation that my brothers back in prison and it wasn;t pretty.

Grandad didn't really say anything.

Nan hit the roof and started telling us not to go and see him. He's got to learn his lesson. She was really upset.

But then I made a joke and everyone forgot about it and calmed down.

but they are very disappointed.

Now it's longer

We got a call from my brother from the prison.

Turns out he's gonna be inside for longer than 12 weeks. The judge said that because he's still on licence from last year, then he must serve the remainder of the original sentence plus the 12 weeks. So he won't be out until June/July time. That's really sucks. And we definately cannot blag my grand-parents until then, so we are going to have to tell them.

5-6 months for that bitch. That's not really fair is it. He had to spend 5-6 months in prison, locked up with no friends or family, miles away from home. and she...she gots to stay at home with her kids and everyone around her, when she's just as much to blame.

Oh, and we are making a complaint to the IPCC.

He's back inside

Well it's official

My brother has been sent back to prison.

The police officer that my mum spoke to said that he would appear before the magistrates between 7:30-9:00am this morning, so we didn't go because the courts don't open until 9am. Turns out they don't start seeing people until 10am, so we could have gone. Mum rung the court and they said he's been sent back to prison for 12 weeks.

Question now is...Do we tell my grandparents or can we blag that he's out with friends for 12 weeks, possibly less?

Are You Kidding Me?

I know my brother and his girlfriend have had differences but this time she has gone too far.

About a week before me and mum went to Bulgaria they split up. She one minutes says that he can see his daughter and the next minute she's changed her mind.

Fast forward to 5am this morning. The whole house is woken up by the police banging on the door. They arrested my brother on suspicion of ABH. They wouldn't give us any details about what he did because he's over 18.

I waited in all day by the phone incase he called or incase he came home because he forgot his keys.

Fast forward again to 7:30pm. We get a phone call from him to say they have charged him for threatening to kill his girlfriend and for apparently assaulting her.

He's already on licence from last year, so they are holding him until he goes to court tomorrow morning.

He has't done anything to her. He may have threatened to kill her but everyone says that in the heat of the moment. He wouldn't have threatened her if she just kept to her word and let my brother see his daughter.

She is nothing but trouble but she's chosen the wrong family to mess with.

If my brother goes back to prison because of her lies, she will pay.

she obviously doesn't care about her kids in the long run, otherwise she would let them see their fathers.

Oh yeah, she did it before with her last relationship.

Borovets Day 8

Absolutely fucking typical. I wake up a little earlier then expected. I look out the window and what do I see. It’s fucking snowing. The heaviest snow of the week. The snow we have been waiting for and we can't ski it because all our lift passes, boot hire, ski hire and Val expired yesterday. It's really beautiful though. I got dressed and put on my full makeup for the first time in a week. I've only been wearing eyeliner on the slopes. I can't leave the house without my eyeliner. Down to our last breakfast in the hotel. This morning started with Nesquik. Followed by fried eggs and bread. Finished off with some cake with plum jam and an orange. Double coffee this morning. Back upstairs to finish packing. Love packing to go home, just shove everything in the bag. Was it a good idea packing my boots? Have no idea what the weather is like in Sofia. We hung around for a while waiting for the bus. We watched music box for the last time. Gonna miss it, been a saviour this week. We went to the bar to buy some water. Why? Because if the bus is anything like our transfer from the airport then we will need the water. We are doing a tour of Sofia but the bus won't be here until 11am ish, an hour and a half drive to Sofia and a tour. The only guaranteed meal is on the plane at 8:30pm. You can probably tell I'm rambling a bit. Sat waiting for the bus is boring. Yummy, Adam Lambert. We went round most of the major hotels in Borovets. Then off into Sofia. It toolks about an hour and a half to get to Sofia, we stopped off at a tank station (petrol station) as our guide Ivo (pronounced Evo) called it, just outside Sofia city centre for a pee break and most of us grabbed some sort of snack food. Ivo was a great guide, he knew a lot about his city and was very funny. Although he didn't fill us with much confidence about being in the city on our own. He told us we could be mugged, run over, etc. But no, he was a great guide. He took us around some of the sights of Sofia. Cathedrals, embassy's and even the prime ministers place of work, where we got to see the changing of the guards. After, Ivo took us to the High Street and showed us one of the best sites…McDonalds. We were all hungry and most of us asked where McDonalds was. Large Big Mac Meal. Lush. After we had 2 hours of free time. What to do? On a High Street? Shopping. Shopping. Shopping. Although we didn’t buy anything. Half way down the first side of the street we saw a woman with a Dunkin Doughnuts bag and we made it our mission to find Dunkin Doughnuts. Turns out it was down the side road by McDonalds. How did we not see it? We took a slow walk back around the sights, retracing our steps to find our way back to the bus. We still had about 45 minutes of free time left, so we sat in the Cathedral watching the people coming and going. Back on the bus and all but 2 people were back early. There’s always a straggler. Off to the airport. Just 10 minutes earlier and we wouldn’t have had to wait for ages to check-in. Finally through check-in and through the security points. Time to shop in duty free. I swear people in Bulgaria move so slowly. The queue to pay was so long and it took so long for them to serve one customer that I had to put my stuff down and not buy anything because our flight was boarding. I was not going to miss my flight because they couldn’t move their asses. It’s their loss, they missed out on my money because their service was so bad. Anyway on board the plane and I get the emergency exit seat. 12F on flight TOM4667. The stewardess asked if I knew how to work the emergency exit. I said just follow the doodle that was plastered not only on the door but on every seat in the row. Mum said, “If she did, she’d have your job”. Made me giggle. The in-flight movie was Alpha and Omega, a cartoon. Really good movie. But the only problem with cartoon movies are they are so short. Makes the flight drag on. In-flight meal was Bangers and Mash. Proper English grub. I watched some TV on my iPod. Our Pilot was Pilot Carragher. We were cruising at 36,000 feet. We landed 10 minutes early. Our baggage was just chucked on the conveyor belt, on top of each other. Ours came out about half way through. Then outside the airport to the bus stop to wait. We boarded a bus after mum flirted with the bus driver. We went to the South terminal and back to the North terminal before going to the car park. Finding the car was really easy and luckily the car started first time. Then we hit the road for the hour and a half journey home. We get onto the M25 only to be told that the M25 junction 9-10 was closed. So we had to take a detour. After we found our way back to the M25, I fell asleep. I slept the whole way home. My brother was there to meet us. I survived the whole week skiing without injury and I bloody injure my knee walking through the door. I have walked through the door hundred of times and this time I kneed the frame. Bloody hurt like hell. We stood around for a bit and talked with my brother. Then straight to bed at 12:30am. Unpacking can wait until the morning.

Borovets Day 7

Today we woke up at 8:00 am. We got dressed and went down to breakfast. I had a bowl of Nesquik cereal and some fried bread and eggs. This morning I needed a boost so I had 2 cups of coffee that didn't really kick in until lunch. Back to the room to get coats, sunscreen and the rest. Down to pick up our skis for the last time. Then over to meet Val, who had some excellent news for us. We are all really tired and need a day of rest but no we are going up the Gondola. The walk down to the Gondola almost killed me. The queue was massive, what with it being closed yesterday. Gave me a chance to get my breath back. On the Gondola and you could tell it was windy at the top because we were swaying a little. Off at the top and time to do some mountaineering. Because of the lack of snow, we have to walk down a steep slope of mud and rocks. Me and mum stayed on the Rusk Green run while they others did the Markudjik Blue circle. I said they can do it first and tell me how it is before risking it on the last day. Turns out 4/12 of them fell off the high speed drag lift. That was enough for me to stay on the Rusk Green run. We had lunch at the top of the mountain. I had a hotdog with mustard and ketchup. It was really good. After lunch some of the group wanted to do the Markudjik Blue circle again. But we decided to go down the Gondola. Why? Because it was extremely windy at the top and we didn't want to get stranded up there. If your at the top and they shut the Gondola, because the green and blue runs down are closed, the only way down is to ski a red or black run or walk down. And it‘s a long way down. We made it back down and it turned out they didn't shut the Gondola but better safe then sorry. We bought a copy of a photo that the whole group had done at the top of the mountain with Yoda. We skied the Iglika Blue run a few times but mum fell a couple of times, so we went for a drink at Kharma. This year we have spent a lot of time at Kharma. We skied the nursery slope a few times but for some reason my shins were absolute agony when walking in my ski boots. Although they were the best ski boots I have ever had. They were so comfortable. We handed our skis back for the last time. Kinda sad really that it's gonna be the last time we are skiing for a whole year, at least. Bye to the twins, we left a tip for them. Then back to the hotel for a well deserved relax and shower. Then down to dinner for the last time. Tonight I had potato soup with croutons for starter. Main was roast pork with mashed potato, brussel sprouts and baby carrots. Dessert was profiteroles, kiwi, orange, chocolate dough balls and a fruit purĆ©e. Definitely the best meal we've had while here. Very English. I don't know if that's because Tom (our rep) was rating the food tonight. Bit of a coincidence. Back to our room to watch cartoons of Looney Toons and the Pink Panther. Then over to Kharma for the awards/diploma ceremony. We had a free drink. Of course I'm straightedge, so I don't drink and mums on meds which mean she can't. So we both had apple juice. We did a whip round for Val to say thank you. We both apparently did worse than last year. I don't think so. I felt really good this year, and I was hitting blues this year. Whereas last year I was barely hitting greens. Anyway, we made some new friends and had fun and that’s all that matters. Back to the hotel to start packing. Then a night of cartoons, music box and Metallica's Some Kind Of Monster. I think I got a little tanned today on my face. My nose and cheeks are a little sore. Off to bed for the last time in Bulgaria at 12:00am.

Borovets Day 6

Today we woke up at 8.15am. We got dressed and went down to breakfast of Nesquik cereal and jam on toast. I only had a cup of tea today. Starting to get really bored with the food here. Back to grab our jackets and Sunscreen (which we really needed today). Then the walk down to Rila1 to grab our boot and skis. One of the best parts of the day is we walk past a giant poster of Hugh Jackman in a Lipton icetea advert. The day started pretty cloudy, misty and snowing. But turned out a really beautiful day. The gondola was closed all day due to high winds, so we started out on the Iglika blue run. We had lunch at Kharma again. I had a cheese burger and chips. Not bad, they even toasted the bun. Everybody else went up the 4man chair lift but me and mum stayed on the Iglika. It's great doing your own thing and not having someone dictate where you go and when. The afternoon was beautiful, perfect blue sky and lots of sun. Not very good for skiing and snow but was perfect. With no instructor we decided to stop for some ice cream. Yep ice cream in the snow. Chocolate and strawberry scopes. Lush. We did a fee more runs on the Rila nursery run. Then called it a day. We gave our skis back. Now let me tell you, some of those men in Rila1 are pretty cute. There's a pair of brother, I think they are twins looking at them, who are really cute. Brightens my day to see them. We decided to walk back to the hotel over the snow to avoid being spotted by Krassi. Don't get me wrong, we love Krassi, but yesterday it was too loud and we felt like a third wheels. Back to the hotel for a relax and a shower. Watching one of the three channels that are in English. Then down to dinner of carrot and cauliflower soup for starter. Meatball in white sauce, fried chicken and fried fish for main and our favourite pastries for dessert with some sponge cake and custard. We went back to the room to grab our coats. Then down to Deers to meet the class to watch a video that Val made for us. It was really a waste if time for us. We were so knackered and were barely in the video. I suppose it got us out for a bit. Back to the hotel to put on our PJ's and watch cartoons. I watched rock night on Music Box. I watched some of Some Kind Of Monster by Metallica. Then off to bed at 12:00. Last day of skiing tomorrow. Kinda sad it's coming to an end. I love skiing. But on the other hand I'm happy it's coming to an end. Get things back to normal and start to let my body heal up.

Borovets Day 5

Today we woke up at 8:00am. Got dressed and went down to breakfast. We bumped into Thomas, our rep, we are gonna meet him later to arrange the Sofia trip on Saturday. Today I had breakfast of Nesquik cereal, toast with jam and sponge cake with jam. I had coffee and apple juice. Back to the room to get togged up. Today I was really not feeling it. I was really tired and didn't feel like skiing but I persisted. We started off on the Iglika blue run. It was quite slippery and I just didn't have the energy, so I only went half way up, after he had filmed me do a full run. Yep filmed me. Today Val bought his video camera. We had lunch at about 12pm at Kharma. I had a tuna salad. If was really refreshing but contained way too much tomato. After lunch we went up the 4man chair lift to the top of our favourite run. Unfortunately we still haven't had enough snow so it's still closed. But there is a blue run called Sitnyakovo at the top which we went on. Although me and mum didn't like it. It as too icy for our liking. So we both did a couple of runs and then sat at the bottom of the slope and watched the others, who we were soon joined by. We got the 4man chair lift back down. That was scary, first time going down a 4man, usually I ski down. At the bottom we all went our separate ways. Me and mum stayed on the nursery slope. I got some really good runs off that. We handed back our skis and started to walk back to the hotel, when out of one of the little restaurants comes Krassi and asks us to join him and his class for a drink. I had a hot chocolate. It was really noisy but good to hang out with Krassi again. Back to the hotel for a shower. We went down to dinner but on the way we saw Tom. We booked our Sofia trip for Saturday instead of hanging around the hotel for hours waiting for our transfer to the airport. Dinner today consisted of starter of carrot soup, main of Stefani, beef with runner beans and Mexican chicken, while dessert was a love cake, pastry and tiramisu. We had a coffee in the lobby bar. Then back to the room to watch Tom and Jerry, Chelsea vs Fulham and music box. I did a few puzzles. I watched some of Metallica's Some Kind Of Monster. Then off to bed at 11:30pm. To think that's only 9:30pm back home.

Tuesday 15 February 2011

Borovets Day 4

Today we woke up at 8:15am. Got dressed and went down to breakfast. Today I had some corn flakes with warm milk. Some fried bread with a fried egg and a piece of cake with some jam. Today I had a coffee because I needed the boost to get me going this morning and an apple juice. Then back to the room for 10minutes. Grabbed my jacket, sunblock, money and glasses. It doesn't look like a goggles day. Not snowing at the moment and barely snowed over night. I really hope the green run is open today and that's where we are going this morning...nope, still closed, the lift is open leading to the blue run but not the green. Apparently we are meant to have fresh snow over night with a bit of wind. We met Val and started out on the nursery slope, we then crossed the nursery slope, I was thinking we were going to Potata we did yesterday but nope...instead he took us to Iglika, a blue slope in the middle of both the slopes I had already skied. It was quite scary. The button lift was quiet steep and coming down was very fast. For that reason mum decided to stay at the bottom of the blue run and work up a bit each time. We had lunch at a little quaint restaurant over the road from our hotel. Me and mum shared an Americano pizza and a portion of chips. After lunch, even though me and mum protested, we went up the gondola. I love the ride up but after the disaster of last year (mum falling and it was covered in ice) we didn't want to go. But we were pleasantly surprised, the snow was perfect. Nice and powdery and soft. We did the Rusk green run a couple of times, then mum stayed there while the remainder of us (the ones who didn't to down to collect kids) did Markudjik, a blue run. Getting down to the blue was scary. It as really steep and icy in places. The button lift in this run was very fast and steep. I normally don't hold on but I was clinging on with both hands for dear life. It may have been fast but it was so fun, so much so that I giggled all the way up. Getting off was pretty sketchy as right in front of me a snowboarder fell off at the end. Then the run down was pretty awesome. It was slow and steady to start but had to go really fast with parallel skis at the end to make it back onto the green run that mum was on. Then onto to travelator, which mum fell off last year and injured her back. This time was better because there were men to help you on and off. Obviously other people fell off last year. We were almost at the end when the travelator stopped. We had to walk the rest of the way. Back on the gondola down. Then the worst part. Having to walk back up the high street back to Rila1. It was easier then last year because we took it at out own pace and there was no snow on the road. We handed back our gear and went for a hot chocolate, the best way to end a days skiing. Back to the hotel to relax. I showered. Then down to dinner of salad to start. Grilled steak, scrambled egg with spinach and chips. Dessert was little love cakes, yoghurt with kiwi sauce, a kiwi and the gorgeous little pastries with mince meat and spices, delicious, we fell in love with them last year in the Bor. We had a coffee, we asked for large but still not big enough. Can't wait for a proper coffee when I get home. Back to our room to grab our coats and off out. Yep we went out at night. We went to watch the ski instructors and a demo team do some stunts and skiing. It was pretty good. Fireworks were really close, probably because we didn't pay, we gate crashed and stood further down the mountain. It was skiers and snowboards. The best part had to be when the instructors pretended to be beginners, they were falling all over the place and crashing. The announcer kept saying stuff like "open you tails, close your tips", "parallel skis", all the sayings that the ski instructor use on us. Back to the hotel room to watch cartoons on Boomerang. I did a few puzzles. Then I watched the last 3 episodes Flying Heavy Metal presented by Bruce Dickinson. Then off to bed at 12:30am.

Borovets Day 3

Happy Valentines Day

Today we woke up at 8:30am. Not as early as yesterday because we didn't have the welcome meeting and lessons didn't start until 10am. We got dressed and went down to breakfast. Today I had fried egg and fried bread with bacon (yes I know I don't eat bacon but it was the only thing I though might not make me chuck up). I also had a piece of cake with jam and a piece of orange. Also a cup of tea but today I had it with warm milk and no water. Didn't taste too bad, it was sweeter than normal and creamier. I also had an apple juice. Then back upstairs to grab jacket, money, gloves, sunblock and goggles. Yep it's a goggles day, it's actually snowing today and it was pretty heavy at times. Hopefully the green run is open tomorrow, the nursery slopes are getting a bit boring. Off to get skis and boots. Then over to meet Val. We started out on the nursery slope then over to Potata, a green run because it was really busy on the usual nursery slope. It was like a whole plane load of kids arrived yesterday. There was kids everywhere. I wouldn't mind (yes I know I hate kids) but they were getting in the way and kept jumping the button lift queues. The Potata was quieter and steeper. Even though it was snowing the snow was still majority artificial, which for some reason mum cannot turn or stop on. But I was having a ball. We stopped for a hot chocolate. A bit more skiing. Then lunch at Kharma, the same place as yesterday. Today I was really hungry so I had an omelette and a side of chips with an orange soda. We did a few more runs on the normal nursery slope but it was really busy with kids and took us about 15 minutes to get to the lift. Val wanted to go for a drink but we had only just had lunch so we carried on doing a few more runs before both of our knees started to hurt, so we called it a day. Back to the hotel via a mini Market to get some more water. We relaxed for a while. I had a shower and washed my hair. Mum yelled at the kids down the hall because they keep running up and down the corridor screaming. We went down to dinner. I had starter of some tuna salad and rice. Main was a potato Musaka, vegetable Lasagna, and grilled chicken. Dessert of a biscuit cake, some valentine’s sponges and custard with strawberry sauce. You can see why I like the desserts the best. We had a coffee in the bar. My god it was strong, I think I'll be up all night it was so strong and no milk. Lucky I can drink it black. Back up to the room. We listened to music on Music Box TV. I did a puzzle in my puzzle book. We watched The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen starring Sean Connery, Shane West and Stuart Townsend. I watched some Chelsea vs Fulham. But then fell asleep at about 12am.

Sunday 13 February 2011

Borovets Day 2

Today we woke up at 7:30am. Yep it’s our holiday and we're up early. Straight into the ski gear and down to breakfast of fried egg, fried bread and sausage with a cup of tea with no milk and an apple juice. Them of to BJ's bar for the welcome meeting. There was a load of us so it took forever just to get our passes and ski pack. As soon as we got our pack we walked to Rila Ski Depot 1 to yet again wait to be fitted with skis and boots. On the way up to Rila1 we bumped into Krassi (our instructor from last year). This year my boots fitted perfectly first time but then they are Solomon's. Mum had to get hers changed. Then off to meet our instructor for this season, unfortunately we didn't have Krassi because he had a private lesson. We were asked if we had skied before and we said yes, then we had to have a test to see how competent we were on skis. Lets just say me and mum are now intermediates. We were then split into groups. We have Val. He's 52 and has been skiing at Borovets for 24 years. He's not a bad instructor. He took us up the nursery slope a couple of times. Unfortunately the major green and blue ski runs are closed because of lack of snow. We stopped for a break of a bottle of water. A couple more runs then onto lunch of tuna and cheese on toast. We did a couple more runs. Unfortunately we didn't get too many runs in because of the queues for the button lifts. We did a few more runs without the group and then the pain set in, so time to call it a day. Back to the hotel to relax for a bit. Then a shower. More relaxing before dinner of meatball soup, potato grattan, pork and peas and lamb and herbs with dessert of pastries and a kiwi jelly with real kiwis. Back to the room to just chill. Nothing much on the tele so we were both snoozing by 9pm. I woke and watched the snow ploughs on the TV because it's linked to a web cam of the nursery slope it started to snow a little but not so much that you'll notice in the morning. For some reason I couldn't get back to sleep so I watched Flying Heavy Metal presented by Bruce Dickinson on my iPod. Then I finally got back to sleep at 12am.

Saturday 12 February 2011

Borovets Day 1

My day started at 6:30am. I had breakfast of a couple of Weetabix and a cup of tea. I straightened my hair. Applied my makeup. I finished packing. Then on the road at 9:30am. We drove along the M27, M3 and M25. We stopped off at McDonalds in the south terminal for a pee break and a sausage and egg McMuffin. Then to the middle of nowhere to park the car. Transfer to the airport took about 15minutes. We were about half an hour early for check-in. But we still managed to check-in. We went straight through security with no frisking. We did some browsing of the duty free. We had a coffee in Costa Coffee on Nan and Grandad. They put coco love hearts on the top. Back to duty free so that mum could buy some perfume. We sat around for a bit, then onto the departure gate number 101. We had to wait another hour at the gate. Then on board the plane. We were boarded first. We sat in seat number 25a and 25b on flight TOM4666. Yep flight 666. And the plane just happened to be a Boeing757. The same as Iron Maiden's flight 666. Takeoff and landing are my favourite parts. Our pilot was called pilot Francis. We were on board for about 30 minutes before they started playing the in-flight movie of Wall Street starring Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf. We got to a cruising altitude of 33,000feet. About half an hour later it was time for dinner. Today's dinner was Chicken Pomodoro with mash potato and runner beans (exactly what mum had guessed) shame about the mushrooms. Takeoff and landing was a little turbulent. We landed on runway 27 westbound at 5:35pm. Luggage collecting was fast. We were one off the first bags off. Then off to try and find the bus. The bus ride was hell. It was really hot and stuffy with no air coming out of the fans. On arrival to the hotel we had to get our own luggage out of the hold and they were buried. No help from either the rep or the bus driver. We got our room pretty quick. But we have to walk a long way to get to our room of number 1216. We are on the second floor with an ok view from the front of the hotel. We booked a twin room and it was a double that we had to make into a twin. Down to dinner via the lift after we had walked down a floor because the lifts call button didn't work. We had dinner of a salad with chips. The desserts were amazingly delicious. Back to our room to unpack. I felt terrible. I was really light headed and thought the room was moving. Not good. Either I have altitude sickness already or something I ate didn't agree with me. Oh I went to draw the curtains in the hotel room and pulled them down. We decided after unpacking that we would just stay in tonight. It was getting late and we had to get up early in the morning. So instead we watched Shakespeare In Love starting Gwyneth Paltrow and Joseph Fiennes. I watched some boomerang TV. Cartoons but they were on English. I wrote my journal. I did a puzzle in my puzzle book. Then off to bed at 12:45am.
