Matt, Jack's grandson visits Jack to persuade him to sign over power of Jack's money to the family before he buy a large piece of land. But as Matt arrives Jack locks the paperwork in Matt's car, steals his car keys and removes a part from his car, Stranding Matt. Jack then teaches Matt a few lessons of how to survive without all the gadgets of the modern world. Will Matt learn to love the outdoors? Will he want to return to city life?

Jane Doe - How To Fire Your Boss

Jane Doe - How To Fire Your Boss starring Lea Thompson, Joe Penny, William R. Moses, Jessy Schram and Zack Shada. Directed by James A. Contner. Jane Doe returns as two CSA agents have killed their CSA mentors without remembering that they had done it. Jane finds out that they are victims of a secret government mind control experiment. Can Jane find out who is behind the mind control before the next agent is killed. I like the Jane Doe movies and this one is no exception.

Edward Scissorhands

Edward Scissorhands starring Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder and Dianne Wiest. Directed by Tim Burton. The local Avon lady called Peg gets doors slammed in her face left, right and centre. She desides to try on last house. Living there is Edward, a kind and gentle man who was created by his owner with scissors for hands. Peg desides to take him home. We soon discover that Edward has a talent for shaping tree. But after falling in love with Peg's daughter Kim, Edward is lead into serval difficult situations. Eventually his scissorhands get him into trouble and is driven back to where he came from. I love this movie. Tim Burton is one of my favorite directors. Another surreal world created by Burton. Johnny Depp is my favourite actor and he play Edward perfectly. A must see.

Volcano

Volcano starring Tommy Lee Jones, Anne Heche, Gaby Hoffmann, Don Cheadle and Jacqueline Kim. Directed by Mick Jackson. Volcano is about Mike, a director of emergency management in L.A. who is on vacation looking after his daughter Kelly when the unexpected happens. In the middle of the night an earthquake hits L.A. but that is only the beginning. The next day everything seems okay but more lies in store for the city. A volcano is created. Lava starts pouring through the streets. Will they be able to stop it. I love this movie. I have seen it many times. There are amazing seen of distruction.

Lies and Deception

Lies and Decepion starring Madchen Amick, Andrew W. Walker, Joseph Kell and Ellen Dubin. Directed by Louis Belanger. A woman called Jean who thought he husband committed suicide 6 years earlier has the shock of her life when her husbands body turns up dead, killed just days earlier. She enlists the help of a private investigator to find out what her husband had been up to in the 6 years he was missing. They uncover murder plots, drug importation and much more. This was a good movie but parts were predictable.

Crossed Over

Crossed Over starring Diane Keaton, Maury Chaykin and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Directed by Bobby Roth. It's about a woman who lost her son through a tragic hit and run accident, who after suffering from depression, forms an unlikely friendship with the first and only woman executed while on death row in Texas. Their friendship puts great strain on the womans marriage. She fights to get the woman off death row, claiming she had a difficult upbringing and she didn't know any better. It's a good movie, I have seen it a couple of times. Diane Keaton plays a brillant grieving mother. A great afternoon movie.

Aspen Extreme

Aspen Extreme starring Paul Gross, Peter Berg, Finola Hughes, Teri Polo and Martin Kemp. Directed by Patrick Hasburgh. It's about two friends, T.J. and Dexter, who move to Aspen to become ski instructors. T.J. also wants to become a professional writer. They train for the Powder 8 Ski Competition but women and drugs tear the friends apart. Will they compete? I love this movie. Great morels to the story. Don't let women and drugs get in between friendship.
